Are you tired of being the C.E.O. (Chief Everything Officer) in your business?

Does this sound like you?

  • Feeling more enslaved than in charge of the business

  • Wearing so many hats you could open up a store

  • Work is overtaking time with your spouse and kids

  • Business is busy but growth is lagging

  • Revenue is increasing but profits are not so much

  • At times, feeling like competitors more than teammates with your spouse

If any of this resonates, then read on…

There is a better way

Kay Lee and I grew up in entrepreneurial households and felt the negative effects that the lack of work-life balance can have on the family. Both of our dads worked so hard and dedicated so much to the business that the family ended up taking a backseat.

It was almost as if the business was the “mistress.”

When I launched my first consulting business, I started to repeat the past and had many 2 am bedtimes. As a solopreneur, I was doing everything (Chief Everything Officer) which was costing me time with Kay Lee.

I rationalized that I was doing it for us, to create financial freedom…one day, and once I scaled the business to a certain point I can hire some help and dial it down.

But as I looked around at the business owners I was consulting, many of which had been in business for over twenty years, they were still “doing it all” even though they had a team.

I quickly realized that being a Chief Everything Officer VS a Chief Executive Officer had less to do with how much help you had or not but with the mindset and processes that you create.

So Kay Lee and I came up with a plan to do business and marriage better. We developed a process to build a business while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. I started making different choices and stopped trying to do everything and please everyone.

Do Less, Accomplish More

You know what? The less busy work I did along with greater focus on higher-priority items, the more progress I made.

And through the entire process from being a solopreneur, to becoming a couplepreneur working with Kay Lee, to hiring a team, we’ve been able to grow the business while maintaining work-life balance.

Not only did we do this for ourselves but we passed along the process to our clients.

Like us, they became true C.E.O.’s of their business to lead more fulfilled lives.

Yes, it is possible to win in business and marriage at the same time.

No longer do you have to choose one over the other.

After years of assisting entrepreneurs one on one (or couple-to-couple), we have created this group coaching option to help more married business owners like you succeed.

Stop Being the Chief Everything Officer

And Join The

Better Balance Accelerator

Here’s How it Works

In short, it’s based on our new book Tandem: The married entrepreneurs’ guide for greater work-life balance.

You and a small group of 8-10 married entrepreneurs will meet weekly (virtually) for six weeks to discuss, answer questions, and receive group coaching on the various aspects that affect your marriage and business. The book and the digital download will be the guide for our time together.

Whether you’re a solopreneur, couplepreneur, or have a team, we will help you accomplish the following:

  1. Become a true C.E.O. through our “3 Pillar Growth Strategy” by:

    • Increasing your margin of TIME- Do less and accomplish more

    • Increasing your margin of MONEY- Generate higher profits with every sale

    • Increasing PERFORMANCE- Create higher outcomes in production, marketing, and sales without putting in more time or implementing a new strategy

  2. Create a plan for greater work-life balance by:

  • Defining what balance looks like for you and your spouse

  • Setting healthy boundaries between work and home

  • Establishing a long and short-term vision to get on the same page and rally around

  • Creating better teamwork both inside and outside of the business

(For more detail on some of the key topics addressed, scroll to the end of the page)

When you address these two issues, your marriage will be stronger, your business will prosper, and you’ll find the freedom and fulfillment you desired when you started the business.

So go ahead and apply now.

But wait…there’s more

The most powerful part of being part of this group will be the community that is formed. There’s something to be said about knowing you’re not alone and in a trusted space to share freely.

Key Topics Addressed:

Below are the 9 major topics we will address:

  1. Define work-life balance - You can’t achieve what you don’t define. The primary reason many of us struggle to achieve work-life balance is that we don’t know what that looks like. It’s different for every couple but agreeing on what that looks like for both of you will be the first step to building a plan of action to achieve it.

  2. Create better teamwork - Even if you don’t physically work together in the business, you are in business together. So knowing your roles on how you can support each other inside and outside of the business and whether you work together or not is important. This understanding will go a long way in building greater connections as husband and wife.

  3. Get on the same page - The activities of daily life and business can cause you both to be like two ships passing in the night. This leads to miscommunication, missed appointments, forgetting to pick up the kids, and feeling disconnected from each other. We will help you and your spouse get on the same page and stay on the same page.

  4. Keys to preventing and resolving conflict - A great way to build healthy relationships is to have the ability to prevent conflict or resolve conflict. We may not be able to help you prevent conflict 100% of the time but you will develop tools to resolve any issue that is bound to come up. Knowing how to resolve conflict will not only strengthen your marriage but your business as well.

  5. Work smarter, not harder - You’ve heard this old adage so why do we tend to work harder and not smarter? Because we tend to copy what our peers are doing. And most entrepreneurs devote more time to the business to solve its problems instead of looking for ways to be more productive. This section will be fundamental to your ability to scale the business.

  6. Increase your margin of time - You can’t gain more time in the day but it’s possible to accomplish more in less time. This will give you back precious time to invest in your relationships. It’s all about eliminating or minimizing the time wasters in your day so you can focus on the activities that bring the greatest value to the business.

  7. Increase your profit margins - When profits are low, most business owners feel that increasing sales is the answer. But when you’re already running ragged, more volume just leads to more stress without a guarantee that it will increase your profits. We will show you practical ways that you can increase your bottom line without adding more stress.

  8. Improve performance - You probably know better than to fall for those “get rich” quick marketing schemes but you still do it (myself included). Or at least are tempted to. Instead of trying to hit the proverbial home run, we’ll help you identify and measure the many little things in your business that you can improve upon that will lead to big results.
